Tails on the Trails!
Laci Stapp and the Humane Society are proud to partner up to announce a fall event, our first annual 'Tails on the Trails!' Join us at Saluda Shoals Park on December 1st, 2007 for a fun day the whole family can enjoy. We'll have dog walks, a kid's zone, contests, vendors, an adoption center and more. Proceeds will benefit both the Humane Society and Laci's figure skating bid for the 2010 Olympics.
You can pre-register by submitting a registration form to the HSPCA (instructions on form), or you can use our online form. No dog? Come and participate anyway! Lake Carolina's Dog Walk
Come join us on November 3rd at Lake Carolina's Town Center for a dog walk/poker run beginning at 9:00am! All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society and the Humane Society. Registration is $20 and begins at 8:00am... please join us for a fun event that benefits two great organizations.

Project Animal Rescue and Restore
The Carolinas Institute for Community Policing, Illinois Regional Institute for Community Policing and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has teamed up to present Project Animal Rescue and Restore: All Animals - All Disasters on Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 from 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Objectives
- To understand the concept of integrated coordinated perparedness, response and recovery surrounding animal welfare during times of disasters.
- To provide the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively plan for the coordination and activation of emergency animal shelters to provide animals affected by disaster adequate animal emergency medical care, temporary confinement, shelter, food and water and ultimately reunification to their owner or relocation.
- To provide anwareness level and performance-level (Operations) training based on materials in this course to ensure the National Response Framework (NRF), National Incident Management System (NIMS) and the National Preparedness Goal is integrated into the local EOP.
