Join us for the Mane Event!
By now, most of you have probably heard about the HSPCA's big horse case. And you've probably also heard about the Mane Event, our fund raising event that is coming up on Friday, April 25th at the Millstone at Adam's Pond
. If you haven't heard about it, please consider yourself invited! And, if you have heard about it but haven't purchased tickets, please do! We need all the help we can get to fight animal cruelty in the Midlands. If you're going to be out of town and cannot make it, please consider a donation.

Pit Bulls Added to Endangered Species List in SC...
Sound shocking? Well, it is. But, that's the road we head down when we introduce breed specific legislation like that sponsored by Representative Jeffrey Duncan.
Generally speaking, the HSPCA investigates animal cruelty by identifying instances of abuse and neglect. However, as we look at the bill that has been proposed, we cannot help but slap the very same cruel label on it... and we could include discriminatory, unfounded and just plain wrong as well.
