Cat Quip
When I play with my cat, who knows but that she regards me as a plaything even more than I do her?

Local Rescues Help HSPCA
The HSPCA would like to thank Wescott Acres Rescue and SQ Rescue for stepping up to help the HSPCA with its recently seized hounds. Both groups have offered to help foster and place the dogs into adoptive homes.
This cooperative effort demonstrates how animal welfare groups with differing missions can come together to address a problem. The HSPCA is very grateful for the support from both organizations.
In addition to working with individual adopters, all three organizations are tentatively planning a hound adoption event on July 14th at the Two Notch Petsmart. Please check our web site for more information on this event.
Thanks goes again to Wescott Acres Rescue and SQ Rescue.

How Are Doing? HSPCA Stats...
We've come a long way over the past year. In fact, we've done as many spay neuter surgeries in 2007 than we did for all of 2006! As of today, the HSPCA has recorded the following stats...
Surgeries performed, YTD: 3,631
Complaints received: YTD: 607
While these numbers reflect our strong commitment to ending animal cruelty and overpopulation, we know that we can do even better. Help support us by encouraging spay/neuter and by reporting acts of animal abuse and neglect.
