Pit Bull Graduation Party a Success

Pit Bull Graduation Party a Success

When Chance and Carmella, the first graduates of the HSPCA’s Recycl-a-bull project, finished there last phase of rehabilitation by completing obedience training, the HSPCA threw a graduation party to celebrate in style! On Saturday, May 24, the HSPCA held a Pit Bull Graduation party at Three Dog Bakery in Five Points.

Party guests included many Pits and their owners from the community, and other breeds of all kinds, to celebrate with the graduates and to rally behind opposition to Bill 5010, a bill that deems Pit Bulls as dangerous animals.

In support of the HSPCA’s Recycl-a-bull project, Dan Dye, co-founder of Three Dog Bakery personally donated $2,500! He is a proud owner of a Pit Bull himself and was pleased to hear that the HSPCA teamed up with Three Dog Bakery to raise pubic awareness. Thanks to Mr. Dye and local Three Dog Bakery owner Debbie Edens for supporting us in a great event!

Want to adopt a Pit Bull?

The HSPCA, through its Recycl-a-bull project, is very happy to announce that Carmella is ready for adoption into a loving home.  Like many of the Pit Bulls that come into our care, she came from a difficult environment.  But, she's bounced back and is ready to be a bood canine citizen.

We know not everyone is interested in providing a home for a Pit Bull.  And Carmella will certainly not be without her challenges... but, she's proven to be a very loving, loyal dog with a strong willingness to please!  Interested in providing a caring home for her?  Want to find out more?

Check her out...
