HSPCA Stats

So far this year, the Humane Society has performed 1,133 surgeries for Midlands area residents.  We've managed to keep our prices for surgery low, but we need your continued support.

Did you know that the HSPCA doesn't receive any public funding?
It's true... we receive no tax dollars whatsoever, yet all benefit from our services.  We do, however, rely on support from generous donors...

Spay/Neuter Your Pets!

March, 2007 Newsletter

Well under way...

Well under way...

2007 is well under way, and the Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (located off Shop Road at I-77) has performed well over 1,100 spay/neuter surgeries and investigated over 230 cases of cruelty, neglect and abuse.  What's most exciting, however, is that we're just getting warmed up.

A lot has changed at the Humane Society.  We've increased our capacity to perform 10,000+ surgeries a year, available to any one wishing to spay/neuter a pet.  Our ability to investigate animal cruelty is more robust than ever and will expand again this year.  And now we're implementing programs to reach out to the community to ensure that our services are easily accessible and efficient.

A lot has changed... we're better than ever and we're determined to end incidents of animal cruelty, neglect and overpopulation.

Reaching out...

The Humane Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is happy to introduce two new initiatives designed to make its spay/neuter clinic more accessible and its work with cruelty investigations more effective.

Rescue Connect
With Rescue Connect, the HSPCA is taking collaboration to a new level.  We're opening up our scheduling system to allow rescue groups the ability to input pets for surgery, retrieve medical information and create summary reports.  Sound easy?  Read more...

NOAH Project
The NOAH Project is designed to place high needs pets, like Rocky, into foster homes in lieu of the shelter.  Foster home management, however, is not our strength.  Instead, the HSPCA is seeking to partner with a lead rescue group to manage foster homes and placement of pets coming into our custody.  Interested?  Read more...

Update on Rocky...

We can sum up Rocky's status by saying that he is doing very, very well.  He's fat, happy, neutered, vaccinated, chipped, and soon to be enrolled in training.  He's got two playmates now and an extremely playful attitude.  There are hurdles left, but all in all he's made a remarkable recovery.
