Recylc-a-Bull Graduating Class of 2008
Join us for a graduation celebration! Our two first ever graduates of the HSPCA Recycl-a-bull project – Chance and Carmella – have completed the last phase of their rehabilitation – obedience school! They are now ready to find permanent homes and a brand new lease on life!
Where: Three Dog Bakery, 625 Harden Street, Five Points
When: 12 pm noon
Who: Open to the public and their four legged friends
What: A graduation celebration with delectable treats for poochies, and a meet and greet of the graduates.
What else: Learn about Bill 5010 – proposed legislation that could deem Pit Bulls as “dangerous animals” and what you can do to stop it.
History: Chance and Carmella are two of eight Pit Bulls seized by the HSPCA in early February from an alleged dog fighting/breeding ring. Chance and Carmella passed the initial temperament testing and were put on the fast track of the Recycl-a-bull program. Phase one of rehabilitation consisted of being fostered to acclimate Chance and Carmella with humans and other dogs. Eight weeks of obedience training followed. Now Chance and Carmella are ready for the life they deserve – a loving adoptive home where they can demonstrate what the Pit Bull breed is all about – love and loyalty.
